About the CD “Live”:
The twelve tracks were recorded live at two concerts. 4 tracks were recorded in October 2018 at the Big Sky Gypsy Jazz Festival in Billings. 8 tracks were recorded in January 2019, at the Django Reinhardt Birthday Celebration concert in Bozeman. The Billings concert was recorded by Luke Michelson, while the Bozeman concert was recorded by Bob Wall. David Lange Studios in Seattle mixed the tracks. David Lange is an expert at both playing Gypsy Jazz (he is the accordionist with Pearl Django) and audio engineering. The mastering was done by Nyberg Mastering (Seattle).
There is one original tune on the CD. Swing Cat Strut, composed by Nancy Padilla. The tune is named in honor of the MSU Swing Cats dance community.
